Jay founded Classic Properties in 1995. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in the School of Consumer and Family Sciences from Purdue University in 1988. He has numerous Professional Designations which include: CRS "Certified Residential Specialist", ABR "Accredited Buyer Representative", SRES "Seniors Real Estate Specialist", and a GRI "Graduate REALTOR Institute". Jay is a member of the National, Indiana, and Greater Northwest Indiana Association of REALTORS. He currently serves on the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of REALTORS Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors since 2003. He is a life-long resident of Crown Point with family roots dating back over 100 years.
